Early beginnings of the company are in a year 1997, when CMP Electronic d.o.o was established with its main interest - automotive wire harness production. One of the first products produced was the wire harness for the outside mirror of the OPEL Astra. In a year 1998, family GRAH together with Mr. Alfred Schefenacker from Stuttgart have established a joint venture company under a new name - SG Automotive. Because of the large increase of production the company was moved to a new location - in Slovenske Konjice.
Very soon SG Automotive started with a new production programme - automotive electronics. The first products were very simple. However SG Automotive soon started with the production of much more complicated electronic assemblies. Major car brands over the whole world have been equipped with our electronics and wire harnesses. Utilising LED technology in lighting and automotive signalisation Schefenacker Group and with it SG Automotive were one of the first on the market.
Today program of electronics is our biggest production program. We are specialists in LED technology. We have a turnover in excess of 40 mio. EUR, with more that 400 people employed.
And we are still growing...
